Partnering with the Department of Defense Education Agency

Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) schools are divided into 3 areas: the Domestic Dependent Elementary and Secondary Schools (DDESS), Department of Defense Schools - Europe (DoDDS-E), and Department of Defense Schools - Pacific (DoDDS-P) / Domestic Dependent Elementary and Secondary Schools - Guam (DDESS-G). Within each of these three areas, schools are organized into districts.

In 2005 DoDEA selected SchoolDude to provide MaintenanceDirect, PMDirect and InventoryDirect for DDESS as a way to provide accountability and increase efficiency while maintaining their schools. DDESS are the schools supporting the bases in Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, New York, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Cuba and Puerto Rico.

In 2006 DoDEA added MaintenanceDirect and PMDirect for their European dependent schools know as DoDDS-E which includes the Bavaria, Kaiserslautern, and Mediterranean districts. And in 2009 MaintenanceDirect and PMDirect were added for the Pacific dependent schools know as DoDDS-P and DDESS-G which includes the Okinawa, Japan, Korea, and Guam districts.

Most of these schools are maintained by third party maintenance contracting companies which as a part of their contracts use the SchoolDude applications to track the work they do. This gives DoDEA from their headquarter offices in Alexandria, VA a way to monitor how their schools around the world are being maintained.

Multi-Language Capability
