This would be a huge improvement [and sell point] I've used it in other like systems, and was surprised to not see it here in SD.
Add optional fields for start/finish labor times by date in the work order to allow input of clock time versus decimal time. Have the system compute and add in the total decimal time for the job. Retain the current total decimal time field for those that use it.
Technicians would not have to stop and compute (or guess) the decimal time before entering it on the work order.
(How many people really know the equivalent of 18 clock minutes in decimal time off the top of their head?)
Allow the date/ start/stop times to export to labor reports in a separate field for administrators. Now they would have not just the total hours for the day, but when during the day each job was worked.
This gives them a chronological report with start/stop times that can be matched up much easier with other reports such as GPS audits, time cards, etc.
