Different regions, states and school districts face unique challenges. Think of the different weather conditions that Facility Directors in New Hampshire and New Mexico will experience.Or the energy costs in California versus those in Idaho. When faced with a unique and specific issue, it can be invaluable to consult a peer who has been there, done that and got the t-shirt.
This week at SchoolDude University, we’ve introduced an all-new online community designed to facilitate communication not just between our clients and SchoolDude support, but between individual clients. Our support staff and developers are pretty great, but no one has the same expertise as school officials and staff who use our software every day in the real world to cut costs and keep operations under control. Clients sharing this knowledge with one another can tear down barriers to communication and improve the entire education system.
“But what if I have no peers?” asked Bonnie Read of Parkland School Division #70 in Alberta,
Canada, “There are no other SchoolDude users in my area.”
As we consulted the SchoolDude Nation map, where each green dot represents a K-12 district that uses SchoolDude, Bonnie realized she wasn’t so alone after all. As we drilled down deeper, she became elated.
“No way! Black Gold?! One of my best friends works there! I can’t wait to use this!”
With nearly 6,000 clients, the SchoolDude Nation is vast. Even in a less populated area, Bonnie’s closest neighbor turned out to be a SchoolDude client.
When we officially roll out our new community in the coming weeks we can only hope that you too have this experience, that you realize the potential, and that you participate as we build the world’s largest network of education professionals.
