As part of our Good Dude initiative, employees had the opportunity to volunteer their time to help construct a new house with Habitat for Humanity. Along with the help of other sponsorships and volunteers, the house is near completion and will soon become the home of deserving local family.
Hassane Ghandour and Atika Metouy will be purchasing the home for their growing family. Hassane grew up in Morocco with 9 other siblings. After completing his schooling, he made the difficult decision to leave his family to come to America. He began his work in the states stocking shelves at a grocery store, but today works as a machine operator for Flextronic.
Currently living in Apex, Hassane and Atika have recently welcomed a new baby in the world! When some friends of theirs, who are also Habitat home owners, let them know about the program, it seemed like the perfect way to start the next chapter of their lives together. They quickly applied and are excited to have the opportunity to create new adventures right in here in the Triangle!
We are proud to have been a small part of this story and wish the Ghandour-Metouy family the very best in their new home! The Good Dude program allows our company and its employees to donate our time, technology and funds to supporting our community. Habitat for Humanity was just one of the local organizations that we had the opportunity to work with over the past year and we certainly look forward to more collaboration with them in the future!
