Cary, NC – For the first time, SchoolDude, the market leader in education enterprise asset management, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Consortium for School Networking (CoSN). CoSN announced its new Board for the 2013-2014 year on Friday, March 8th. Nick Mirisis, Director of Marketing and Business Development at SchoolDude, is the newest board member. He has been with SchoolDude for nearly 8 years, and has played a major role in SchoolDude’s business development programs, sales efforts and marketing strategy to continue to best serve its education clients.
CoSN’s Board comprises 18 education technology leaders from both K-12 school districts and the private sector, who will help CoSN further its leadership and advocacy efforts throughout the education industry. The full Board will be announced during the annual 2013 CoSN Conference this week. Mirisis will be in attendance and recognized in San Diego during the 3 day conference.
SchoolDude hopes to bring a fresh perspective to the board, given its unique position.
“We are in a unique position to help serve K-12 education. We bring the business and private sector perspective, as well as the school perspective. We serve over 6,000 educational institutions and deeply understand their needs, issues and opportunities. I will bring that fresh perspective and my knowledge of education leaders’ needs to CoSN’s board and ensure education continues to have a voice,” said Mirisis.
