The Operations Proficiency Model (OPM) is a performance measurement model specifically developed as a framework and a tool to facilitate the identification of continuous improvement initiatives for leaders responsible for maintaining and operating schools and higher education institutions. I have included several illustrations of Key Performance Indicators from each Discipline in our model below:
Level 2 (Automated)
Number of annual technology incidents submitted per student
Level 3 (Disciplined)
Average facility usage cost recovery per student
Level 4 (Measured)
Percentage of total energy spend tracked monthly
Level 5 (Distinguished)
Average asset Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF)
Please check back for new OPM blog posts in the days and weeks ahead.
We published a book with details on the Operations Proficiency Model and supporting methodologies in 2013. Please plan to join us for one of our OPM sessions at SchoolDude University, April 5th – 9th, or visit our OPM webpage for additional details.
