The Operations Proficiency Model (OPM) is a performance measurement model specifically developed as a framework and a tool to facilitate the identification of continuous improvement initiatives for leaders responsible for maintaining and operating schools and higher education institutions. We have identified four (4) core operational Functional Disciplines based on our experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting schools and higher education institutions over the past several decades. These disciplines are highlighted in the following illustration.
Each Functional Discipline is described in detail in the OPM publication. Please check back for new OPM blog posts in the days and weeks ahead. We published a book with details on the Operations Proficiency Model and supporting methodologies in 2013. Please plan to join us for one of our OPM sessions at SchoolDude University, April 5th – 9th, or visit our OPM webpage for additional details.
