We're excited for a number of new topics and speakers at this year's SchoolDude University. One of those new speakers is Vancouver School Board Facility Planner, Terry Naylor. In the session, Leveraging PMDirect for Recurring Maintenance Schedules, Terry will discuss best practices from his extensive experience in implementing PMDirect at one of Canada’s largest schools.
Vancouver School Board #39 has over 4000 active PM schedules using 100 templates for everything from grounds, to panel inspections, to training reminders for supervisors. The maintenance team has a proactive mindset, performing about 44% of their total work as PM - which puts them well above the top 20% percentile compared to peers in the Dude Data Dashboard.
Topics in Terry's session include: how to set-up PM Templates and schedules, how to leverage attachments, how to use the batch change function to activate and subsequently complete the scheduled work orders, and the rational for PM implementation.
Terry has been a Maintenance and PMDirect user since 2010. He also has experience in a local government designing and building local government mapping for the creation of parcels and associated attributes and addresses. He designed and built the infrastructure mapping (sewer, water and drainage) for a City covering 140 square miles. Terry managed the maintenance team for the on-going maintenance of approximately 100 civic building, resolving on-going roof issues and revising preventive maintenance to better meet the client's needs.
Terry is one of many industry experts speaking at SchoolDude University this year. Along with Leveraging PMDirect for Recurring Maintenance Schedules, we're excited to have new sessions on solar leasing, emergency preparedness, capital forecasting, and how to use data to tell a story.
