We’ve added another stellar K-12 school district to the
CrisisManager user list – Houston County Schools (Ala.). Serving approximately 6,400 K-12 students in southeastern Alabama, Houston County Schools is using CrisisManager to increase the visibility of safety plans and procedures among its administrators at 14 school locations. With CrisisManager, they can access step-by-step procedures for emergencies including inclement weather, active shooter, bomb threat, student injury and other crisis situations.
Kenny Fondren, technology specialist for Houston County Schools, reports that school administrators find CrisisManager easy to use on their smartphones and they appreciate having the detailed emergency guides at their fingertips.
Houston County Schools’ CrisisManager mobile app is customizable and offers one-tap emergency calling, building schematics, emergency exits and lockdown locations relevant to the various schools in the district. CrisisManager complements the school’s existing paper-based and online safety resources, which working together provides a safer teaching and learning environment.
