Hi Stephanie, I wanted to reach out to you regarding your idea. Yes, theoretically, Requesters can add themselves by submitting a work order via the MySchoolBuilding page if they are not in the system already. However, they have to have the Organization Account Number, an email address, and the submittal password to do so. The Organization Account number cannot be changed, but the submittal password can be. The best remedy for this is to change it in MaintenanceDirect and not automatically send it out when making the change within the product. You have the ability to uncheck the box that would send out an email about the password change to your requesters in the MySchoolBuilding setup wizard. (Located under the Account Setup tab)
Also, we have a Requester Quick Step Guide template that you can use to communicate this change to without sending it to everyone. So, it is a combination of you setting expectations within your educational organization and shifting who is able to submit work order requests, as well as changing the password within MaintenanceDirect. This should help eliminate unwanted requesters moving forward. I hope this helps give you a way to limit who puts in the requests.
