It's very confusing when I train the techs I work with regarding whether they should 'close' or 'complete' work orders. They both essentially mean the same thing to me, though they have great implications system-wise. If 'closing' was renamed to 'archiving', you would then have 'complete' (or close) and 'archive'.
To me, I would understand more clearly, as would the techs in training, more clearly. Archiving is not something they would do, sounding more permanent and for those up the chain in leadership. Completing or closing would be the role of my techs. I know it's just a matter of semantics, but this is confusing to me.
