Case in point - Closure Notifications to Supervisor 1 & 2 are not functional.
We are a very large school district with 130 plus schools and nearly 80,000 students. Our District Department (‘Crafts’) enter work orders for all sites to other district departments for work they need done to complete their own work.
Example, the Carpentry Department needs the Electrical Department to complete some wiring to lights so that they can finish framing in and closing off a wall; or the HVAC Department needs to have Asbestos Abatement performed on some piping insulation before they can do repairs; our the Flooring Department needs the Transportation Department to relocate the furniture in several classrooms before they can begin re-flooring the rooms.
Currently, SchoolDude does not send the person submitting the work an email notification for the closed/completed work. It is role and site based, not functional for maintenance departments who need to know when they can proceed with work. School Clerks and Principals get notification, but the District Departments don’t and time is wasted.
Our District Departments must constantly check their submitted work orders or develop nightly reports to email them a list of closed/completed work orders with them being the requester.
What I would like to see is an email notification go the person submitting the work order request. This should be filters by (department) crafts, so that the foreman does not get all the closed/completed notification for his own department’s work. Example: the Supervisor 1, Supervisor 2 would select in their “Work Order Participant Information” the list of crafts they want to receive emails from for work orders they submitted.
The notifications would only be sent on “Completion” or “Closed” status, which will be defined in the Account Setup.
This will assist any district who has multiple departments submitting work to others.
