When working in the Maintenance Direct product- Specifically the Purchases section.
The description field has a character limit of 255 characters but that is not conveyed until you click on the submit button and a pop-up box tells you that you have exceeded the limit.
Ideally I would rather not have a character limit. Many other text boxes do not have limits and there are times when I want enter a detailed amount of information about multiple items purchased together. Yes, the work around is to "split up" my purchase across 2 or more "purchase entries" but that takes longer.
If the limit can't be eliminated then can the description field be modified to not accept typed entry of more than 255 characters as opposed to accepting them and then being told that we are over the limit.
