Typically PMDirect schedule/template setup is a one time push- after they are created, then the basic maintenance and updating occurs usually once a year and is minimal. All other functionality regarding PM work orders should work with your Chromebooks (processing, adding equipment, hours, message center, etc...).
That being said, I can understand the frustration with step 7 of a PMDirect schedule not allowing Chromebook users to access PM Templates- and appreciate you sharing that with us.
Just so we can get an idea of the impact this is having on your operations, how many Techs are building PM Schedules and running into this issue?
Our Maintenance Operations Business Group is aware of this Idea and will monitor Community feedback from other clients concerning this Idea.
