SchoolDude University™ – March 28-April 1, 2009 in Myrtle Beach, SC. The best and largest career development and professional training conference exclusively for school, college and university operations professionals.

March 28 – April 1, 2009 at the Kingston Plantation in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Cost

Tuition is only $250 per person for the full four-day conference when you register by February 27, 2009. (After this date, the tuition is $300 per person). Your tuition fee covers all classes, as well as breakfast daily, the Sunday evening reception, the General Session and dinner on Tuesday evening, and refreshments during scheduled breaks throughout the conference.

You may also take advantage of our optional Training/Tuition/Travel Package to pay for your tuition, hotel, airfare and airport shuttle service in one easy step! Training/Tuition/Travel Package rates for 2009 will be announced this summer.

Who Should Attend

The SchoolDude University curriculum is designed to provide professional development for educational professionals in all areas of support services, including technology, business, facilities, and transportation. Scheduled courses provide valuable product training for SchoolDude clients, as well as industry workshop topics applicable to directors and managers, administrators and supervisors, technicians and office staff.

The 2009 class curriculum will be announced this October. Course topics will include: Fundamentals and Best Practices, Facility/Maintenance Issues, Energy Management, IT Issues, Facility Scheduling and Usage, Transportation Issues, Peer Networking, and SchoolDude Product Training.

What to Bring

Please bring a willingness to learn, as well as ideas and best practices to share with your peers. Also, bring a list of any questions that you would like to address with the SchoolDude team. Attire is business casual, however, we recommend dressing in layers because conference facility temperatures tend to fluctuate.

Cancellation Policy

Should you need to cancel your registration, please call Sonya Rooke, University Coordinator at (877) 868-3833 prior to February 27, 2009. Tuition is non-refundable after February 27.

Accommodations

Join us at the Kingston Plantation in Myrtle Beach, SC for SchoolDude University 2009.

The Kingston Plantation offers a wide variety of accommodations with spectacular views of pristine beach and wooded surroundings, as well as a wide variety of amenities. SchoolDude University attendees will receive special group rates that will be announced this summer.

The Kingston Plantation requires a credit card or a first night’s deposit to guarantee your reservation, refundable up to seven days prior to your arrival date. Checks and major credit cards are acceptable to establish prepayment. Check-in time is 4:00pm, and check-out time is 12:00 noon.

Guests staying on the Kingston Plantation property – which include the Hampton, Brighton, Villas, and Embassy Suites – receive a complimentary breakfast buffet and evening cocktail reception. The Kingston Plantation also offers on-site dining at the Omaha Steak House and Fisheye Grill. The Sport & Health Club includes an indoor pool, racquetball courts, outdoor tennis courts, aerobics studio, weight training and cardiovascular equipment, sauna, whirlpool and more.

Transportation

Myrtle Beach Airport
The Myrtle Beach International Airport (Airport Code: MYR) is located at 1100 Jetport Road, just south of 501 off Highway 17 Bypass in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Shuttle Service
If you will be arriving at the Myrtle Beach airport, the Kingston Plantation is offering airport shuttle service to and from the hotel on the hour.

Additionally, the Kingston Plantation offers complimentary shuttle service to the Tanger Outlets, Wal-Mart and the Arcadian Shores golf course. Arrangements can be made at the Concierge Desk. Information on local taxi service is also available at the Concierge Desk.

SchoolDude will provide shuttle service to Barefoot Landing and Broadway at the Beach. Shuttle service details for 2009 will be announced this October.

Curriculum

The 2009 class curriculum will be announced this October. Course topics will include: Fundamentals and Best Practices, Facility/Maintenance Issues, Energy Management, IT Issues, Facility Scheduling and Usage, Transportation Issues, Peer Networking, and SchoolDude Product Training.

You’ll be able develop your personalized course schedule from more than 200 valuable classes, including informative sessions for those interested in or currently using SchoolDude’s solutions

Continuing Education Credits (CEU)

SchoolDude is pleased to offer educational operations professionals who attend SchoolDude University the opportunity to earn Continuing Education Credits (CEU’s) through the several organizations. In previous years, those associations have included: Texas ASBO (TASBO), Pennsylvania ASBO (PASBO), New York State SBGA (NYSSBGA), and Michigan School Business Officials (MSBO). The 2009 CEU Program will be announced this October.

Learning Lab

Make time in your schedule to visit our Learning Lab. In the Learning Lab, you will be able to gain first-hand experience with SchoolDude products and reinforce what you have learned in training classes. Our Technical Support Analysts will be available to provide one-on-one assistance and specialized instruction. The Learning Lab will be open throughout the entire conference – don’t miss this opportunity to meet your favorite SchoolDude Technical Support Analysts, get answers to your questions, and maximize your SchoolDude product investment!

Information & Registration Center

The Information and Registration Center will be staffed daily by the SchoolDude team to provide answers to your questions. You will register here when you arrive to receive general information about scheduled classes and events.

Networking Events

The 2009 optional events schedule and costs will be announced in October. In previous years, our events have included: Golf Tournament, Alabama Theatre Dinner and Show, Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament, Murder Mystery Theatre Dinner and Show, Dixie Stampede Dinner and Show, and Deep Sea Fishing.
