Attendees gain wealth of information at annual professional development and client training conference

CARY, N.C. (April 6, 2009) -- SchoolDude.com, the nation's leading provider of on-demand operations management solutions for educational institutions, today announced that hundreds of its clients journeyed from across the nation and the globe to be part of a very successful and informative SchoolDude University, the company's annual professional training and career development conference for educational operations professionals. Held March 28-April 1 at the Kingston Plantation in Myrtle Beach, SC, the four-day event attracted more than 650 attendees from the US, Canada and Australia.

Designed to provide valuable training for all educational facility, technology, business operations and transportation professionals, SchoolDude University afforded attendees the opportunity to learn from their peers and national experts in informative classes that addressed industry-relevant topics and critical issues affecting educational professionals, as well as core knowledge vital to building a successful career. Conference participants selected personalized class schedules from more than 200 courses and round table discussions, with topics ranging from industry best practices and professional development to implementing and successfully utilizing SchoolDude's solutions. This year's event also featured numerous courses on best practices to reduce costs and improve efficiency in difficult economic times.

Returning guest speaker Jim Joyce, from SALES PARTNERS, INC., noted, "The fact that SchoolDude University attracted such a large group of customers, given the current state of the economy, is a testament to SchoolDude as to the efficacy of their efforts. Customers even told me they would gladly have paid their own way if their institutions hadn't! The conference was truly memorable."

Continuing the tradition to help attendees gain first-hand experience with SchoolDude's on-demand products, SchoolDude University included a hands-on learning lab that housed 60 computers. In the Computer Learning Lab, SchoolDude's technical support analysts helped clients increase their product expertise and reinforce what they had learned in the SchoolDude product training and best practices courses.

First-time attendee Cherie Thibodeaux from St. Charles Parish Public Schools in Louisiana, said, "I called the office from SchoolDude University and told my department to think of SchoolDude as a big swimming pool. We've only dipped our toe in the water. I'm eager to dive in and see what else we find!"

SchoolDude University attendees also enjoyed many opportunities to network and tap into the collective expertise of their colleagues worldwide.

Thibodeaux added, "The conference here is first-rate. Everyone across the nation is having the same concerns. Sometimes you think your institution is the only one dealing with those concerns, and SchoolDude University is a great opportunity to talk with others about what you're experiencing."

More than 120 attendees participated in the pre-conference networking events, which included a golf tournament and outings to the Dixie Stampede and Legends Theater. After classes began on Sunday, the SchoolDude team greeted all the attendees of the seventh annual SchoolDude University at a hospitable welcome and networking reception that included hors d'oeuvres and a performance by a local steel drums musician.

The peer collaboration and interaction continued at the General Session, which afforded everyone the opportunity to join together for a final evening of food and fun. At this dinner and networking event, attendees enjoyed an awards ceremony, dancing and an entertaining live performance by a Blues Brothers tribute band.

At the conclusion of SchoolDude University, the entire SchoolDude team thanked the more than 650 attendees for making the 2009 event a success and invited all to return again next year.

SchoolDude University 2010 will be held March 20–24 at the Kingston Plantation in Myrtle Beach, SC.
