SchoolDude's mission is to saveAmerica's educational instituions $1 Billion of operational savings by2010. Today we are nearing $600 Million, more than half way to ourgoal.
We passionately believe that technology is a tool, coupledwith good leadership and management processes, that can help solve someof the budget and staffing challenges plaguing America's educationalinstitutions.
We don't think you have to be a big company todonate your time, money or products - you only need to have a big heartand passion.
Philosophy of 'The Good Dude' Initiative:
- 1% employee working time donation to the community
- 1% profit donation to support education and technology
- 1% product donation to under-served and rural educational institutions to increase their efficiency
- Technology donations to nonprofit organizations
Recent Initiatives:
Each year, SchoolDude selects several nonprofits to support. Recent 'Good Dude' works include:
- Duke Children's Hospital Telethon
- UNC Children's Hospital Telethon
- Salvation Army Angel Tree program
- Technology donations to the Boys & Girls Home of North Carolina
- Donation of more than $90,000 in free software to Weldon City PublicSchools and Roanoke Rapids Graded School District, both located inHalifax County in the northeastern part of North Carolina.
