Meet Daniel.
Daniel is an IT Systems Administrator serving on SchoolDude's Product Delivery team. He monitors client response time for all of SchoolDude's web sites. One day, he observed a particular client demonstrating long response times to access our web sites. After giving some thought to what may be causing the problem, he believed that the client was having proxy issues. He requested a technician to follow-up with the client to determine their proxy configuration settings.
As it turned out, and unknown to the client, they had an invalid proxy setting. This invalid setting was causing their Internet connectivity slowness. After a correcting the setting, the client immediately realized an increase in connectivity speed. They were very pleased with the outcome and thankful that SchoolDude contacted them proactively. Daniel made this IT professional a hero at his organization. Daniel's single act of observing a problem and then responding is a great example of how SchoolDude employees actively seek to make our clients a success.
How long have you been a 'Dude'?
Since February 2005
Memory from my first day at SchoolDude?
My first day was a blur. I was greeted by too many people to remember all their names while I was introduced to the stack of projects that was waiting on me. I joke that I started my job two weeks behind.
What makes SchoolDude a great place to work?
SchoolDude is a great place to work because of the relaxed atmosphere and the sense of community in the team.
How does what you do at SchoolDude impact clients?
I am part of the IT group, and we primarily setup and maintain the infrastructure that the SchoolDude products run on. Our impact on clients is pervasive, but ideally we go unnoticed.
