Scott Carpenter

VP of Sales

Scott Carpenter is one of the original members of the SchoolDude team and has enjoyed spending the past 17 years of his professional career helping educational institutions apply facility and IT management technology to solve operational problems. He was formerly the National Sales Director for ACT (Applied Computer Technologies), which dominated the CMMS education market with its ACT 1000 System from the mid-1980's until the late 1990's.

At SchoolDude, Scott interacts with educational institutions across the nation to help them improve the learning environment with technology designed for the web and built specifically for schools. In this role, he has been a featured speaker at numerous national and state conferences for educational business and facility professionals, including the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) and the National School Plant Management Association (NSPMA). Scott and his team are pleased to have helped thousands of clients in all 50 states, all the Canadian provinces, Australia and several other countries.

Education

Scott graduated from Campbell University in Buies Creek, NC with a Bachelor of Science Degree. As he moved into the software industry and into management, he has remained dedicated to lifelong learning through ongoing study, travel, numerous seminars and professional development programs.

Personal

Scott played Division I Soccer at Campbell University, so he is an avid sports fan. He has a 16-year old daughter, Katy, who keeps him busy with her sports and other school-related activities. He has lived in rural North Carolina for the last 32 years, but is originally from Missouri. Scott is very active in his community; he coaches, is a member of the Boosters Club at his daughter's school, and is a Special Olympics Volunteer, as well as a member of his local church and numerous civic clubs and organizations.

Interests

Scott loves fishing and being outdoors, trying to play golf, coaching youth soccer, watching college basketball and NASCAR, reading a good James Patterson book and spending time with family and friends.
