Lynn Boswell

VP of Technology

Lynn brings 20-years of experience in delivering complex technology projects on time and under budget. Her expertise spans across various businesses including inventory management, purchasing, work order management, insurance, government, and non-profit organizations. Before joining SchoolDude, Lynn was Managing Director of Technology at Strategic Resource Solutions (SRS) where she was responsible for managing software upgrades and changes to the CMMS and building controls product line with a twenty-two member team consisting of both developers and project managers. Prior to SRS, she served as a senior project manager and developer on the ACT 1000 with Applied Computer Technologies (ACT); and prior to ACT, she worked as a software programmer with Mitsubishi International in warehouse inventory management.

As a vice president at SchoolDude, Lynn is responsible for managing, building, and support a dynamic team of program managers, project managers, technology architects, web developers, system administrators, and quality control personnel who together create state of the art Internet-based software applications. She has in-depth knowledge of project management, strategic planning, solution architecture, and product deployment and delivery methodologies. Lynn and team embrace a company vision of building and delivering software solutions that are cost-wise, user-friendly, and responsive to client needs while maintaining 99%, or better, up-time and reliability. Our product design vision includes implementing cost and labor strategies that save money.

Education

Lynn graduated from University of Maryland University College with a Bachelor of Science in Management and a minor in eCommerce. She is a Wake Technical Community College graduate with an associate degree in data processing and certified in Advanced Project Management (SCPM) from Stanford University.

Favorite Quote

A favorite quote of Lynn's comes from Max Frisch who said, "Technology...the knack of so arranging the world that we don't have to experience it." It is one of her favorites because it embraces the strategic vision SchoolDude has for the product line, which is to design applications that fit into the daily workflow of each user not as an experience, but as a normal part of their life.

Personal

On a personal level, Lynn and her husband enjoy attending and being involved in their church. She also enjoys traveling. Her husband is an avid Harley motorcycle rider and so they frequently take extended trips on his Harley. Their most memorable Harley rides include trips around the Big Island and Kauai islands in Hawaii.
